Balanced Nutrition Yoga

Balanced Nutrition and Yoga is proud to announce that we are now offering individual and small group yoga classes to our clients and the community in hopes to provide a soothing place to practice mindfulness and body awareness—two concepts that have been at the core of the Balanced philosophy since its conception.

Classes range from gentle and restorative to more physical vinyasa practices. Each class is designed and modified to be acceptable for all experience levels. Classes are small, allowing for individual attention from instructors with assistance as desired.

Yoga Specialist

Ana started dancing at the age of 4, and eventually became a ballerina dancing with such prestigious companies as Boston Ballet. She was introduced to yoga at age 14, through her dance training, as it was so beneficial for strengthening, added flexibility, and for working with injuries (which were often plentiful). Though no longer a ballerina, Ana’s passion for dance has never subsided and her love for yoga has grown immeasurably and continues to do so. Her understanding and appreciation for yoga deepens daily, and it has vastly contributed in countless ways to all areas of her life. She credits yoga with keeping her rooted physically, mentally, and spiritually. Moreover, it keeps her heart filled with gratitude. Yoga teaches self-discipline, internally and externally, but it also teaches compassion, love, and forgiveness towards all, including oneself.

She feels students should be earnest and conscientious in their practice, but with a light and open heart. Smiling, stumbling, and giggling at oneself are encouraged! Ana believes one of the best things about teaching is that she gets to continue to learn so much, but from a slightly different perspective. One of her favorite quotes was spoken by the Master artist Michelangelo just before he passed away: ‘Ancora Imparo,’ I am still learning.”
