Natalie graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and completed her dietetic internship the following year. Since then, she has worked in clinical and outpatient nutrition. Natalie opened Balanced Nutrition LLC in 2013 with a hope to provide comprehensive nutrition counseling in an environment that is relaxed, inclusive, empowering, and free from judgment or rules around food or movement. Natalie's expertise is in eating disorders, disordered eating, and recovery from chronic dieting.
Natalie believes that nutrition goals and healing efforts are best achieved when they come from a place of compassion and self-respect. In addition to her commitment to non-diet, weight-inclusive, and HAES-informed nutrition counseling, Natalie is also passionate about the impact that our thoughts and behaviors have on our hormones and how this impacts on our physical and mental health. There is so much "noise" in the world of food, nutrition and exercise and Natalie wants to help her clients make sense of it all and make changes that will truly enhance their lives and their healing.
In addition to her obsession with promoting peace around all things food, exercise and body, Natalie is also obsessed with her infant son who teaches her every day what it means to be curious versus critical.
