Balanced Nutrition was founded in 2013 with a goal to provide reliable nutrition counseling. Our mission has and will always be to serve our clients as they work to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing while repairing or maintaining a healthy relationship with food.
In 2016 Balanced Nutrition grew into Balanced Nutrition and Yoga in order to offer its clients and the community a place to practice gentle movement, mindful meditation and body awareness—concepts that we believe are unique to every individual and can be practiced in a variety of different ways.
We believe that everyone deserves to nourish and move their bodies in a way that feels good to them. Equally important is our belief that we all deserve to live a life free from judgment or shame around food, weight, shape, health status, or physical abilities.
Balanced Nutrition offers to counsel for a wide variety of nutrition-related conditions such as gastrointestinal issues, food allergies and intolerances, and sports nutrition. Our primary specialty and focus are in the area of eating disorders, disordered eating, and recovery from chronic dieting. Our dietitians have extensive experience in these areas and are passionate about providing anti-diet, weight-inclusive/weight-neutral care to their clients. We treat all types of eating disorders and believe that recovery is possible but the journey is difficult. Our holistic approach will include collaborating with our clients’ other care providers, including family and friends when desired, and most importantly, listening to and holding space for our clients and their opinions, thoughts, and needs.
