Dietetics is a second career for Rachel; she graduated in 2001 from Cedar Crest College with a Bachelor of Science in Genetic Engineering. Rachel worked in BioTech for about 12 years before transitioning to a stay at home mom with her three children. In 2012, Rachel’s oldest child was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. While Rachel’s husband had been living with Type 1 for over 30 years at that point, their child’s diagnosis inspired Rachel to continue her education in the field of Nutrition. Completing her dietetic internship in 2019 at Cedar Crest College, Rachel accepted a position at Seeds of Hope, an eating disorder treatment program, working at the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. In addition to her work in eating disorders, Rachel has experience in sports nutrition, autoimmune disorders and diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2.

Rachel’s food philosophy centers around removing morality and judgement from food, being food flexible and finding the joy in fueling our bodies. In her free time, Rachel enjoys nothing more than watching sports with her husband, three children and six pets.
